It’s no secret that one of our favourite new cars from last year was Touring’s reimagined Superleggera Veloce12, after all, we had the privilege of being selected as the official media partner for the car’s launch, where we spoke to Touring CEO Markus Tellenbach about their grand touring masterpiece. Now Touring is gearing up to unveil their most recently completed example at Retromobile Paris.
Finished in the spellbinding hue of Azzurro Cielo, this Veloce12 pays tribute to iconic models from Touring’s past, where shades of blue hold special significance. The Milanese coachbuilder revealed that the colour takes direct inspiration from the Alfa Romeo 8C 2900 B Lungo, a car characterised by its light blue tone, helping to guide this particular Veloce12’s chromatic personality. In addition, more recent showstoppers like the Disco Volante Spyder, Berlinetta Lusso, and Mini Vision Superleggera have also adopted shades of blue to accentuate their elegance, forming a narrative thread between these masterworks.
Azzurro Cielo is simply the icing on the cake for this Veloce12, whose naturally-aspirated 5.5-litre V12 and manual gearbox define the man-machine connection that was so pivotal to the car’s creation. So, make sure to stop by their Stand K-068 in Hall 1, between February 5th and 9th for a much needed dose of Pure Italianità!
