To celebrate its centenary in 2003, Ford introduced three retro-inspired models, with the Ford GT as the standout tribute to the legendary, Le Mans-winning GT40. First unveiled as a concept at the 2002 Detroit Motor Show, the GT quickly received production approval. Led by Chief Designer Camilo Pardo, the car maintained the GT40's iconic silhouette while featuring modern engineering: an aluminum spaceframe chassis and a mixed aluminum/superplastic body. A supercharged 5.4-liter V8 produced 550 horsepower, paired with a six-speed Ricardo transaxle, launching the GT to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds with a top speed of 330 km/h. Classic GT40 elements like the twin-nostril cowl, circular taillights, and perforated seats were thoughtfully reimagined for this high-performance homage.

This particular 2005 Ford GT was finished on 23 June 2005 as one of only 101 examples produced for the European Market. The accompanying Marti Report indicates it was ultimately sold in Switzerland and previous research indicates it remained with its original owner based in Belgium until 2014 with approximately 29,000 kilometers. Acquired by the current owner in October 2015, the well-preserved Ford GT features numerous intact VIN decals across the car and is offered with just under 32,000 kilometers (19,864 miles) at the time of cataloging with an accompanying Marti Report build sheet.

Boasting a unique combination of Le Mans-winning heritage, razor-sharp performance, and Ford practicality, the GT remains one of the true great supercar "all-rounders." In the case of this magnificent example, these desirable qualities are supplemented by its decade-long ownership, original European delivery, and fantastic racing-inspired livery.
