Interesting Pallas version - very well preserved.\r
The 1968 version of the DS 19 Pallas is amongst the most sought after, and not only for its more luxurious finish. It was the last year that the car kept its original styling with standard headlights, while benefitting from major technical advances. It was equipped with the new five-bearing DY engine offering 90 bhp, modified running gear and an LHM hydraulic system.\r

Our example left the factory on early 1968, in the blanc carrare reserved for Pallas versions, with green fabric interior. The car has always been looked after meticulously and parked in the dry, and is presented in original condition, having simply benefitted from new paintwork in 2012. The colour today is in very good condition and is very shiny, however there are small traces of surface rust in the lower part of the door near the lower Pallas ornament due to the holes for fixing the strips themselves, while the trunk and side sills are free of rust and are in excellent condition.\r

The car has benefited from careful maintenance over the last few years, when it was put on the road in 2012 the most demanding work was carried out such as replacing the clutch and overhauling the complete LHM system and a complete overhaul of the cooling system (new water pump and overhaul of the radiator)\r

In recent times the car has undergone a general overhaul of the fuel system and ignition and as a matter of course the shock absorber accumulators have been changed and new tyres have been installed.\r

At the moment the car does not require any particular work and is immediately drivable.\r

The interior is in amazingly original condition, and it was with undisguised pleasure that we climbed inside to check it was all in good running order. Retaining its original engine, as confirmed by the Conservatoire Citroën, this DS, being an interesting Pallas version of the right year, also boasts an exceptional history and is presented in incredibly well conserved condition, with the safety and reliability of a less complicated version and the revision of the mechanical parts.\r
