From 1956 to 1959 only 251 examples were produced.
BMW presented the Type 507 at the IAA in 1955. With a pricetag of almost 30,000 DM, the car was as expensive as a Mercedes 300 SL, which was only offered as a roadster from 1957 onwards. This meant that it was only affordable for extremely wealthy customers, which also led to an extremely low production number of just 251 vehicles. The design of the body came from the industrial designer Albrecht Graf Goertz. The body was made of aluminum. Today the 507 is considered a design icon and is a highly sought-after collector’s item.

This desired BMW 507 presented here was according to BMW Group archive, delivered in the exterior colour black by BMW importer Imperial Garage Paris (France) in summer 1957.
The car was registered in Munich, Germany from the 1960s onward.
The old vehicle registration document with historical pictures of the car are present.
At the end of the 1990s, this BMW 507 was restored by a marque specialist near Munich. The car remained most of its life in South Germany.
Today this beautiful BMW 507 is presents itself in a very well-preserved condition. The matching numbers engine has been recently restored and runs like clockwork.
The design icon is ready for many unforgettable trips & concours events…

Von 1956 bis 1959 wurden 251 Exemplare produziert.
BMW stellt den Typ 507 auf der IAA 1955 vor. Mit einem Preis von fast 30.000 DM war der Wagen fast so teuer, wie ein Mercedes 300 SL, der ab 1957 nur noch als Roadster angeboten wurde. Damit war er nur für äußerst betuchte Kunden erschwinglich, was auch zu einer äußerst geringen Produktionszahl von nur 251 Fahrzeugen führte. Der Entwurf der Karosserie stammte vom Industriedesigner Albrecht Graf Goertz. Die Karosserie wurde aus Aluminium gefertigt. Heute gilt der 507 als Designikone und ist ein sehr gesuchtes Sammlerobjekt.

Dieser hier präsentierte BMW 507 wurde laut BMW Group Archiv im Sommer 1957 per BMW Importeur Imperial Garage Paris, Frankreich in Außenfarbe schwarz ausgeliefert.
Der Wagen wurde ab den 1960er Jahren in München zugelassen.
Der Alte Fahrzeugbrief mit historischen Bildern des Wagens sind vorhanden.
Ende der 1990er Jahre wurde dieser BMW 507 von einem Markenspezialist nähe München restauriert. Der Wagen verblieb hauptsächlich in Süddeutschland.
Heute präsentiert sich dieser wunderschöne BMW 507 in einem sehr gut erhaltenen Zustand. Der matching numbers Motor wurde aktuell frisch restauriert & läuft wie ein Uhrwerk.
