By no means is this the first time IWC Schaffhausen has collaborated with the historic boat maker Boesch. And that’s because the two companies have a lot in common, not least their passion for timeless beauty, clever design, traditional artisanal craftsmanship and innovative and sustainable technology.
IWC is bidding Boesch happy birthday with the Aquatimer Automatic Edition ‘Boesch’, of which just 100 will be produced and sold in Switzerland from August. Boasting a robust stainless-steel case, waterproof rubber straps and an in-house 82110 date movement packing an impressive 60 hours of power reserve and 30 bar of water resistance, the new diver’s watch is directly inspired by the design, colours and materials of the aforementioned Century Edition mahogany boat.
The crowning feature is the golden Boesch propeller engraved on the Aquatimer’s rotor, visible through the exhibition case back. Whether you’re one of the lucky custodians of a beautiful Boesch boat or simply enjoy nothing more than being near the open water, here’s a stylish, rugged and reliable watch that will make the perfect horological companion. It’s form and function singing in perfect harmony, the same of which can be said of Boesch’s enduring craft.
