Description

Low mileage example of the legendary Lamborghini Countach, created by famed Bertone designed Marcello Gandini and unveiled at the 1971 Geneva Auto Show, instantly becoming one of the most iconic supercars in history.

This particular unit belonged to the famous former Lamborghini test driver Valentino Balboni and has his signature in the driver's side door sill. It is in perfect condition with only 23,000km and is one of less than 380 European-spec LP5000 QV cars manufactured by Lamborghini. It's popularly know as the Downdraft as the carburators were moved from the sides to the top of the engine for better cooling. The added 6 double-barrel Weber carbs, plus the massive air filter required a redesign of the engine cover, resulting in a visible, and now legendary, hump reducing rear visibility even more. When launched, the LP5000 QV was the most powerful iteration of the Countach.

Today, the Countach LP5000 QV is, without question, one of the most coveted models by collectors worldwide.
