Plugged into Porsche
With a self-described “obsession with electric motors being the most efficient form of propulsion”, whether that’s for an aircraft, a sea craft, or an automobile, Austrian-based Kreisel Electric has recently premiered its newest project — the Kreisel Evex 910e. This new electronic supercar is a modern reinterpretation of the 1960s Porsche 910, and although it may look like the Stuttgart icon from the outside, the similarities end there, for once you pop the bonnet you’re eye-to-eye with something unexpected. Where once laid either a flat-six or eight-cylinder engine is Kreisel Electric’s newest battery system, which can produce 360kw of electric power, a top speed of over 300 km/h, and a 0–60 time of 2.5 seconds. With its impressive performance numbers and classic body style, this new ‘reinterpretation’ may provide the right combination of old and new technology to convince the sceptics.
