Will it wear the Ferrari badge?
We’ll be honest: after following the Disco Volante from concept to production two years ago, Carrozzeria Touring has occupied a special place in our hearts. At the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, the company will reveal its latest creation, hand-built by the talented team of craftsmen headed by Louis de Fabribeckers. The Berlinetta Lusso is a two-seater sports coupé with a long hood and classic proportions, but Touring is remaining tight-lipped about further details. However, the appearance of a Ferrari 166 MM in the teaser video suggests the Geneva show car could ultimately wear the Prancing Horse badge. As Touring quotes late Fiat owner Giovanni Agnelli in the video, ‘a well-done thing can be made better’. That’s no mean feat when the subject is one of Ferrari’s finest – but it wouldn’t be the first time Touring had successfully revived a legend.
