Description
"The 1999 Honda NSX epitomizes automotive excellence, blending precision engineering with dynamic performance. Crafted with lightweight materials like aluminium and featuring a mid-mounted 3.2-litre V6 engine, it delivers 290 horsepower with exhilarating responsiveness. Its aerodynamic design, influenced by F-16 fighter jets, not only enhances speed but also ensures stability at high velocities. The NSX's innovative features include titanium connecting rods, drive-by-wire throttle, and Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control (VTEC) technology, showcasing Honda's commitment to cutting-edge automotive advancements. Renowned for its balance and agility, the 1999 NSX remains a timeless icon, cherished by enthusiasts for its fusion of power, precision, and poise.
This rare NA2 manual version of the legendary Honda NSX was supplied by Honda U.K and registered on 23rd March 1999. In September 2001 at 16,900 miles the car was subject to a Category D insurance loss. The repairs were undertaken by Avonvale Honda of Coventry, one of the original authorised NSX dealers. Our vendor acquired the vehicle in April 2006 when the car had covered circa 37,000 miles and has used this impressive Honda as his daily driver since then. During this time the car has benefitted from maintenance of the highest standard. Honda franchised dealer Avonvale undertook most of the work including two new clutches and two timing belt changes.
In 2019 at 100,00 miles an expensive refit was undertaken by leading restorers Project Heaven. Works undertaken include a complete front and rear suspension overhaul with new springs, brackets, shock absorbers, anti-roll bar and bushes, steering arms and lower wishbones, exhaust, brake system, and a paint refresh, The exhaust system works included the fitting of new catalytic converters and replacing original pipework with a one off, unique stainless-steel system whilst retaining the Honda back box. Offered to auction with a V5c registration document and the bills and receipts for the works described this is a not to be missed opportunity to own a car that the vendor describes as still feeling tight, quick and a joy to be driven.
