Description
This is a Beautiful example of the highly regarded Honda NSX-S, exclusively produced for the Japanese market, built only in 209 examples. The Type S offers a 45-kilogram reduction of weight, revised suspension for better road feel and more natural steer characteristics. Additionally, this iteration of the NSX was adorned with Type S-specific BBS forged aluminium wheels, carbon-Kevlar Recaro Alcantara/leather seats, a mesh engine cover, single-pane rear glass and manual rack and pinion steering.
With its 3,2-litre V6 developing 280 horsepower, a close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission the car was made famous by motor-journalists as a true Ferrari killer. The NSX truly took the world by storm.
This particular example was like all other Type-S sold new in japan. Delivered in the Beautiful specification of a Monte Carlo Blue Pearl (B-66P) exterior paired perfectly with the option of a body coloured roof and a black and blue interior.
The car spent its first seventeen years in Japan, during which a titanium exhaust system was fitted. In 2017, the car's current owner, a Swedish enthusiast, decided to purchase and import the car from Japan into Sweden, in order to do so, the new owner had to first bring the car into the United Kingdom due to import and export legislation. A process which is substantially more difficult today due to Brexit. Subsequently, it was registered there before its eventual importation to Sweden. During its stay in the UK, JDM specialists Torque GT Looked after the car, conducting a comprehensive service, which included a cambelt, crank pulley and water pump change.
Since the car came to Sweden, the owner has used his car sparingly, only driving it a mere 2000 kilometres, in 2021 he serviced the car at local JDM specialists PBZ, who also installed the more stylish NSX-S Momo steering wheel, in favour of the previous Airbag equipped wheel. A Honda NSX sound system sourced from Japan and a ppf film has also been fitted.
Since MOTIKON got our hands on the car, we have as part of our standard procedure for all our cars, conducted a test on the vehicle and addressed every issue identified ensuring its mechanical integrity. In the case of this car, there were basically none.
Included in the sale is the original Japanese Honda literature, along with a folder containing Invoices and documentation of the importing process and a Original exhaust system.
