The Ford Sierra RS Cosworth is a performance-oriented version of the Sierra family car produced by Ford Europe in the mid-1980s. The car was developed by Ford's motorsport division, which aimed to create a high-performance vehicle that could compete in rallies and racing. The Sierra RS Cosworth was equipped with a 2.0 litre turbocharged engine that produced 204 horsepower and 214 lb-ft of torque, making it one of the fastest cars of its time. The car was also fitted with a four-wheel-drive system and a limited-slip differential, which helped to improve its handling and traction on both road and track. The exterior of the Sierra RS Cosworth was designed with aerodynamics in mind, featuring a distinctive front grille, a large rear spoiler, and wider wheel arches to accommodate its wider track. Inside, the car was fitted with Recaro bucket seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel, as well as a range of gauges and dials to monitor the car's performance. The Sierra RS Cosworth proved to be a successful rally car, winning several championships and races throughout the 1980s and 1990's.

This excellent and very original 1986 Ford Sierra RS Cosworth is finished in the classic Ford colour scheme of white with grey cloth interior, both of which are in very good condition, with the wheels recently being refurbished. This lovely example is supplied with a V5C registration document, an MoT test certificate which expires on 16th November 2024, owner's handbook, audio operating manual, service book and a considerable amount of invoices showing maintenance over the years and past MoT test certificates. Today, it remains a popular choice amongst car enthusiasts and collectors, thanks to its striking design, impressive performance and rich motorsport heritage.
