1986 Aston Martin V8 Efi Volante

Finished in original Windsor red (metallic) with original and well-preserved Magnolia Connolly hides piped in Burgundy, fitted with its original Burgundy Everflex fabric roof.

Equipped with Automatic transmission, Vantage 16’’ road wheels and uprated suspension. Standard features include, refrigerated Air conditioning and a power operated roof.

Built and supplied to its first owner in the summer of ’86, via main agents Marshall of Cambridge Ltd, this delightful and fully maintained Volante, has been known to us for the last 20 years and 3 ownerships and has covered just 26,400 miles from new. The last owner purchasing the car from ourselves in 2013, before participating in the Aston Martin Centenary parade laps on the Le Mans 24hr race circuit, that same year.

Used sparingly and kept in ideal garaging since, the last owner has had annual maintenance and upkeep carried out by renowned Aston Martin specialists to excellent standards. Servicing and maintenance invoices, with Mot certificates are contained in the vehicle’s history file, accompanying the car.

Introduced in 1986, the last variant of the V8 Volante was equipped with electronic fuel injection, giving improved fuel economy, easier starting and superior driveability, all whilst producing higher levels of torque and power, than earlier carburettor equipped examples. Easily identified by the lowered bonnet line, drivers forward visibility was also substantially improved.

Prior to the V8 Volante being discontinued in production, from mid-1989 onward, surprisingly just 44 examples of the 216 Volante Efi’s manufactured, were produced in RHD UK specifications. This being the only example finished in Windsor Red.
