Beschreibung
-Silver with Black Leather interior and Red carpeting, 5-speed gearbox, 2.4 Liter V6, Restored, Documented by Massini.
Clothed in stunning Pininfarina-designed coachwork, built by Scaglietti, the Dino first debuted as a design concept, known as the 206 S Speciale at The Geneva Motor Show in March, 1965. Several years later, it entered series production with the 206-specification, two-liter engine. After a short run of 150 cars, the 206 GT was updated in 1969 with a larger 2.4-liter motor, which was a displacement that remained unchanged until the Dinos discontinuation in 1974, ending with the equally spectacular 246 GTS. The Dino demonstrated impressive balance during tight handling, thanks to its near-even weight distribution, which was a dividend of the race-proven rear-mid engine placement.
This 246 GT is a US version with power windows and cromodora wheels, it has benefited from collector ownership, a recent engine and gearbox rebuild by well-known marque specialists as well as a new headliner and various standard service-maintenance.
An exceptional find in this condition and market, this is an excellent investment grade Dino that been cared for, serviced properly and is ready for immediate use and ownership enjoyment.
