EXTERIOR
Originally starting life as an SC, this breath-taking ST backdate has been subject to a comprehensive overhaul by the owner of emerging marque specialists – Riviera Autobody. As something of a showcase for the company, Riviera left no stone unturned with the painstaking hours and attention to detail invested in this stunning resto-modification. Draped in a custom Plum colourway the bodywork shines beautifully throughout with a smooth and swirl-free finish, accentuating the purposeful stance of one of the marques purest silhouettes.

As you will note from the extensive equipment list, all fixtures and fittings have been stripped and replaced with new parts to compliment the perfect Plum paintwork.

INTERIOR
A combination of custom and OEM parts collide to create a wonderful cabin space utilising the very best materials available. The interior overhaul features a splendid pair of Renn Sport seats trimmed in Porsche Nappa leather, accompanied by custom plumb inserts, with the distinctive concept extended to both the rear seats and freshly installed Coco floor mats. A dished Nardi wheel sits in front of custom Reep backdated clocks leaving the driver in no doubt to the authenticity of this ST inspired special.

The dash, door cards and rear shelf have been decked out with a lovely combination of Nappa Leather & Basket weave providing a warm and exclusive feel. The backdated heater box levers sit below a Wevo shifter and aluminium handbrake; all parts from different era’s that appear to all tie in together very nicely. In car entertainment and up-to-date connectivity is courtesy of a Blaupunkt DAB head unit alongside JBL speakers.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The 3.0 SC engine has been fully stripped and rebuilt with reworked heads, valves and guides as well as doweled Crank cases and 964 camshafts. Now with SSI manifolds and a custom exhaust box, that naturally aspirated air-cooled Flat 6 tone is amplified to fit with 70’s style.

The drivetrain has been totally overhauled with Gearbox fully stripped, vapour blasted and rebuilt with new bearings alongside a new Clutch and Quaife LSD.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The Campagnolo style wheels, built by Image, look just right sat under the wide ST steel arches; an important era-specific option that the original Rally cars ran in period. With Toyo Proxes on each corner, the contact patch is both dynamic and secure for all manner of road and track events.

The entire braking system has been replaced and upgraded whilst new suspension hardware has had similar attention; everything has been removed, stripped, inspected, cleaned and powder coated to as-new condition.

With Ohlins suspension (tuned to Historic spec) allied with fast road Torsion bars the ride is compliant with very little roll.

HISTORY FILE
Initially finding it’s first owner in August of 1983, this SC / ST would go on to enjoy a regular service routine up until it’s current transformation.

With 20 stamps in the original Service book, and myriad works and invoicing dating back to 1988, this example was sourced and selected for a total overhaul to bespoke specification.

Initially made available by Riviera in 2019, the collector owner would go on to finesse the car over the last 3/4 years with significant investment to research and improve this wonderful S/T backdate further still.
