The car received a lightweight treatment with an aluminum hood, lightened 18” rims, simplified inside door panels and several noise insulation and carpet reduction to reach only 1270 kg, meaning 100 kg less than the 993 Carrera 2. The very modern rear axle of the 993-generation is continued on the RS, its double aluminum triangles have a similar effect as rear steering wheels, bringing agility in aggressive turns and stability in high-speed curves. Finally the amazing flat-6 3,8 liters coupled with a 6-manual gearbox brings 300 horsepower at 6500 rpm allowing to reach 275 km/h at the end of the straight line!
