Our Mercedes-Benz 280 SL Pagode is a rare California model, with no soft top and a strict two-seater. Finished in a superb Dark Green configuration with cognac skai interior, this example was fitted with the extremely rare 5-speed ZF manual gearbox!

Delivered new to Corsica in 1969, this 280 SL had just four owners.
With a total of 11,000 uncertified km (five-figure odometer), this example is color-matched and features its original gearbox and axle. The original engine was replaced by a 280 SE (S class) block, although the original block is available - to be rebuilt.

The paintwork was redone some time ago, showing cracks, crazing and various snags on the car. The interior is in superb original condition, with the dashboard leather showing a few cracks as well as the MBtex upholstery on the driver's seat. Significant expenses have been made recently, in July 2017, including: engine and oil filter drain, fuel pump replacement, gearbox and axle drain with gearbox and axle sealing, master cylinder and mastervac replacement with brake fluid replacement, belts, spark plugs, switches and capacitors replacement, gearbox lever guide silentblocks replacement, rear suspension arm silentblocs, rear suspension spring shims, rear wheel bearings, engine mounts, gearbox mount, handbrake cable bellows, gearshift bellows, battery mount, DA pump hose (from reservoir to pump), removal and fitting of injection pump for inspection and tuning, then ignition and injection adjustment.

This very elegant California is presented in very fine original condition, in excellent "juice". Mechanically perfectly functional, this is a rare example with great potential. Duplicate keys and documentation are available.

The vehicle is covered by a 6-month Triomphe Héritage warranty with a ceiling of €5,000 and 15,000km. Extension of duration (12, 24 or 36 months) and/or ceiling (10,000€) possible.
