Beschreibung

A rare beautiful model and an overwhelming interior. These were the first thoughts when we saw this Maserati Ghibli. And apparently we are not the only one thinking this, because after recently trading in the car for our Gran Sport, we notice that people are enthusiastic about the metallic black Italian. The characteristic styling, especcially the low roofline in combination with the high trunk makes it a typical and recognizable model.

The interior features impressive Connolly leather and beautiful wood trim. A very luxurious car, which we can imagine being parked in front of a beautiful Italian palazzo. That could well be, because from the delivery date on January 26th. 1993, until the Dutch import on February 16th of 2001, the car stayed in Italy with the first owner from Arcade in region Treviso. The second, and Dutch owner, kept the Maserati until January 21, 2005. We bought the car from the third owner, who took care of it for over 15 years. Taken care is actually not the right describtion; cherish is a better word. It was a car purely for his hobby and it only came out of the garage when the weather was dry. A direct result of this was of course the current, and low mileage of only 94.780 km.

All maintenance was done by specialists and all invoices are present. What we often see, when a car is not been driven on regurlarly base, is that here and there are cutbacks on certain things. This is not the case at this Ghibli. Everything had to be maintained perfectly and if possible, even improved. Parts such as the shock absorbers, brakes and torsion bars were overhauled and brought to a higher level. The timing belts were also replaced several times just as prescribed by the manufacturer. No overdue maintenance, or savings that the next owner has to take care of.

We see this Maserati Ghibli 2.0 Bi-Turbo as a wonderful Italian classic with a beast of a 24 valve V6 engine, which delivers no less than 306 bhp. The performance is really phenomenal and especially impressive because you can hear and feel the turbo’s doing their work very well. In 5.6 sec. you reach the speed of 100 km/h and that is very fast for a car from 1993. In combination with the wonderful, manual Getrag 6-speed gearbox, the Ghibli is a real thrill to drive. But it also drives very smoothly and quietly at lower speeds. Speed is good, but it must also be possible to drive very relaxed. And the Maserati men from Modena had understood that very well.

If you always had a Ghibli on your list, but were never really convinced which one it should be; then put aside all the arguments for not doing so and make an appointment with us to view and drive this car. We bet you like it.
