The Lancia Stratos is a motorsport icon, designed specifically to dominate rallies in the 1970s. Launched in 1973, it was the result of a daring collaboration between Lancia and legendary designer Marcello Gandini, then with Bertone. Its futuristic design, with its half-moon panoramic windscreen and angular lines, immediately set it apart from all other cars of its era. Under its hood is a 2.4-liter V6 engine, borrowed from the Ferrari Dino 246 GT, which delivers impressive power, particularly suited to the demands of rally racing. Thanks to its short wheelbase, light weight (just 980 kg) and optimal weight distribution, the Stratos offered exceptional handling on all types of terrain, from asphalt roads to rocky rally tracks.
Designed for competition, the Stratos was homologated thanks to a production run of 492 road cars, but it was on the track that it truly made history. With three consecutive World Rally Championship (WRC) titles in 1974, 1975 and 1976, and numerous emblematic victories, it proved its technical and strategic superiority. Its success in rallying made it a symbol of Italian ingenuity, combining aesthetics, performance and innovation.
Today, the Lancia Stratos remains a highly prized collector's car and a timeless symbol of Lancia's dominance in the golden age of rallying. The car combines the competitive spirit and passion for design for which the Italian automobile is renowned.

Historique :

1975: Delivered new to Mr. Schurter Rudolf, resident in Zurich, who will remain the owner for 42 years (from 1975 to 2017).
2017: Acquired by Ruswil resident Imhof Urs, who continues to meticulously maintain the vehicle.
2021 : Sold to the last owner, who has continued to preserve this rare piece in excellent condition. Many invoices available.
