Beschreibung
This 1989 Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary, production number 1663 and chassis number 2731, is a rare carbureted downdraft European example finished in the striking Acapulco Blu with a grey interior. Delivered new to famed Lamborghini engineer and Canadian Formula 1 team owner Walter Wolf, this car carries the legacy of performance enhancements Wolf inspired. Displeased with the performance of his Countach, Wolf enlisted the help of engineer Gian Paolo Dallara, resulting in the introduction of the iconic wide wheels, fender flares, and an adjustable rear wing that subsequently transitioned to production models, increasing power and performance.
The car was delivered to Wolf Auto, Germany, on September 19, 1989, and later registered in the Netherlands with the license plate PJ-RT-78. In 1995, it was photographed at the ILOC meeting in Oostende, Belgium, by Marcel de Lange and offered for sale by German distributor Auto Kremer, carrying dealer plates BN-04169.
Since 2018, this Countach has been available for sale by Wiggers Mastercars in Enschede, The Netherlands. The car has traveled 18,553 kilometers and recently received a fresh service, ensuring it is turn-key ready for its next owner. This Countach represents a remarkable piece of automotive history, reflecting both the engineering prowess and the legacy of Walter Wolf.
