This most beautiful Dino spider in its original colour “Azzurro Metallizato 432” was originally delivered to Germany and registered there on the 10 September 1968. It is one of only a few 2 litre cabriolets who, like the Coupé, were equipped with Cromodora aluminium rims in place of the centre locking wheels. Several years ago the Fiat was imported into Switzerland and taken over by the vendor in 2007. He commissioned a full restoration on his spider chassis number 135AS000599. The timeless elegant Pininfarina coachwork was completely stripped of its paint and repainted in the correct original colour. The complete interior was renewed with a dark blue leather and the matching numbers engine as well as the rest of the mechanical bits were completely overhauled. The cost of this work totalled over CHF 300’000! Since completion only around 5’000 kilometres have been driven and the Dino consequently presents itself in outstanding condition. The two litre V6-engine delivering 160 hp, equipped with Dinoplex ignition, is smooth as silk and the five-speed gearbox is shifting accurately with a lovely mechanical feel. As one of only 1’163 examples built, this sporty little Italian, with its last Veteran MOT completed in September 2018, will certainly provide a lot of thrills to its next owner.
