The Aston Martin V8 Vantage made its debut in 2005 as the smaller sibling to the flagship DB9.

It was created to compete with cars like the Porsche 911 and other compact yet powerful sports cars.

Initially, the V8 Vantage came with a 4.3-liter V8 engine, but Aston Martin realized it could offer more in terms of performance and driving dynamics.

In 2008, Aston Martin introduced the V8 Vantage 4.7 Roadster, a significant upgrade over the 4.3-liter version.

The key change was the enlargement of the engine to a 4.7-liter V8, which provided increased power up to 420 horsepower.
