Description
Lister-Jaguar ‘Knobbly’ Continuation car #01, Ex-Goodwood 75th Members’ Meeting
FIA HTP, road registered as BHL 158
BHL 158 was the first of ten continuation cars built by Lister to celebrate their 60th Anniversary in 2014. The car was invited to the 75th Goodwood Members’ Meeting in 2017, where it competed in the Archie Scott Brown Trophy.
The car was built to 1958 production specification, including a 3.8 litre XK engine with a wide-angle head and triple Weber carburettors. The car was granted an FIA HTP in 2015, and was road registered as a ‘Lister Knobbly’ with registration BHL 158.
It has been a regular competitor in the Motor Racing Legends Stirling Moss Trophy, competing at some of the best historic race meetings including the Donington Historic Festival, Spa Six Hour and the Silverstone Classic. The car was class winner and third overall in the Stirling Moss Trophy race at the Thruxton Historic in 2022, and in the same race in 2023 posted the fastest lap.
Owned by a well-known historic racer, the car has been looked after in recent years by CKL Developments, where it has been developed as a reliable, accessible car which really rewards the driver both in terms of aesthetics and driving pleasure. With CKL - renowned race-winning Lister preparers - it has been part of a stable of race-winning Listers, including BHL 147 which won the 2023 Salvadori Cup at Goodwood’s 80th Members’ Meeting.
As a road registered car it is also very eligible for exciting road events such as the Tour Auto. Overall, the car represents a superb opportunity to race at prestige historic events in a beautifully presented car. BHL 158 is race ready and comes with a cache of racing spares and an up-to-date set of FIA HTP papers valid through 2025.
