The 458 Spider was premiered at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show and is the convertible variant of the 458 Italia. It features an aluminium retractable hardtop which, according to Ferrari, weighs 25 kilograms less than a soft roof such as the one found on the Ferrari F430 Spider. This was the first Ferrari to feature a solid roof such as this and it can be opened in just 14 seconds giving the best of both worlds.

The engine cover was redesigned to accommodate the retractable roof system which was designed to be as light as physically possible. Remarkably, the Spider has the same 0 – 60 mph time as the hard-top and a top speed of 199 mph.

This UK RHD example was supplied new to its first keeper on 4th March 2013, through Graypaul Ferrari of Birmingham. Finished in the attractive hue of Bianco Avus over a Nero leather interior, this example also features a plethora of additional options helping it to stand out from the rest.

Carbon fibre can be found outside on the front spoiler, B-post trim, and rear moulding, meanwhile, on the interior, the driver zone is finished in carbon fibre along with the dashboard inserts, central bridge, and exterior sill kick. The fully electric comfort seats finished in Nero leather are contrasted by the optional special stitching in Bianco, complementing the exterior colour.

Having been well maintained throughout its life, this 458 has seen no fewer than eight services, all carried out by Ferrari main dealers or marque specialists. Most recently, the car underwent an annual service in December of 2022 with H.R. Owen Ferrari, just under 150 miles ago.

In 2017, it has been noted, and confirmed by the performing Ferrari service centre themselves that the mileage recorded on the record was incorrect. However, for complete peace of mind, the gearbox has been scanned and ‘read’ by DK Engineering to confirm that the true mileage is indeed as displayed on the dashboard.

This 458 Spider is available to view at our showrooms just outside London immediately, showing just 12,710 miles from new.
