The limited-edition Porsche 911 ‘Club Coupé’

In a somewhat surprising move, given the model’s recent, 2011 launch, Porsche has announced a series of just 13 special Carrera Ss in Brewster Green with an extensive list of extra equipment as standard.

The Club Coupé is not a ‘Clubsport’ 911 for the 21st Century. Its title is a celebration of 60 years of Porsche Clubs worldwide. As 13 German enthusiasts started the very first one, the company is limiting this special run to that same number.

However, as Porsche itself will be retaining one car, enthusiasts will have up until 16 July 2012 to register their desire to purchase one of the 12 remaining vehicles.

Included in the Club Coupé package is the newly developed Powerkit upgrade (now 430HP), the SportDesign package and a “lavishly refined interior” by Porsche Excusive. All cars are finished in the classic Brewster Green and run on 20-inch ‘SportTechno’ alloy wheels.

The model will form the centrepiece of a new display at the Porsche Museum that includes rare vehicles such as the 993-series 911 Turbo S from the private collection of Dr Wolfgang Porsche (above).
