The Rolls Royce Silver Spirit was launched in 1980 to replace the famous Silver Shadow. It remained faithful to the cubic shapes that were in vogue on the car market at the time. It evolved gradually, with the introduction of mechanical fuel injection in 1986, Abs brakes in 1987 and a slightly revised interior. Its career continued until 1997, with a series of minor changes.
The car we are presenting here is a desirable 1987 model, and is therefore fitted with fuel injection and ABS. Delivered new to the Middle East, it arrived in France in the early 1990s with less than 14,000 km on the clock. It was then regularly serviced by the brand's Cannes dealership throughout the 1990s. After that, it was rarely driven, clocking up less than 1,000 km in 10 years. In 2013, it awoke from its slumber. This Spirit was then entrusted to the Bentley dealership in Cannes for an overhaul. Sold the same year to an enthusiast in the Paris region, he entrusted the maintenance of this fine example to the specialist Jackie JAG. In 2020, the car changed hands and had just 25,000 km on the clock. The new owner covered 10,000 km in 4 years. Its current owner purchased it at the end of 2023 and drove it just over 2,000 km.
This Rolls Royce Silver Spirit is in generally good condition. The road test revealed a pleasant drive, worthy of the manufacturer's reputation. The leather is well preserved, as is the woodwork.
A limousine at the price of a city car, this Silver Spirit is an opportunity not to be missed, as beautiful examples with low mileage are rare.
