LOOK only selected three, and it was believed that the rest were lost forever. The troubled American star was in the Canadian Rockies filming ‘River of No Return’, and the idea was that she should spend some time with the Minnesota-born photographer, developing a relaxed personal relationship that genuinely showed her as ‘the girl next door’.
Just as with our recent ‘Naughty 911’ story, this photographic spread taken by the American photographer Yu Tsai for the fashion magazine Flaunt emphasises the arousing nature of an image which combines two extremely beautiful forms, in this case the model Rianne ten Haken and the Ferrari 308 GTS.
The book was started by one of the doyens of the Aston world, Alan Archer and, after his death in 2009, the work was continued by his two sons, Stephen and Jeff (the latter of whom sadly passed away in the final stages of its production).

Aston Martin founder Lionel Martin was born and raised in Cornwall, until he was sent as a boarder to Eton. As a result of the maternal (Birch) side of the family’s interest in the china clay industry (eventually becoming English China Clays), his was a relatively affluent childhood, and his shareholding in various family companies kept him comfortably provided for the rest of his life.
