While the performance and reliability of the popular Beetle was continuously developed and improved, the coachwork only received minor changes over the years. In March 1953 the split rear window was replaced by the oval window and in September 1957 this in return was replaced by the larger rectangular rear screen. The oval window variant offered here, from the last production year of the model, was delivered in Germany and 1st registered in January 1957. The early history of the Beetle is not known but apparently it had been restored years ago and was changed to the current metallic grey. Some years ago, the car was imported into Switzerland and acquired by the vendor in the Thurgau Canton in May 2021. In 2022 he had the Dynamo overhauled, a new regulator installed and the complete electrical system checked together with the mechanics. Since then, the Beetle was used for occasional outings and will now be sold due to lack of space. The car is in technically good condition with a lovely coachwork and the interior presents itself in lovingly maintained condition. The most recent veteran MOT was completed in May 2022.
