This third generation Toyota Supra A70 is a Swiss example and was handed over to the first owner through garage Automo in Berne on the 8th July 1986. With its three litre 6-cylinder engine delivering 190 horsepower, catalytic converter and 5 speed manual gearbox the Supra was a serious sports coupe in its time! Very comfortable, with an air conditioning, power steering, electrically operated windows and cruise control, the Toyota makes a perfect long-distance GT. In 1992 with then 51’000 kilometres driven, the coupe was sold to the French part of Switzerland where, after probably 2 further owners, it was taken over by the current owner in 2007 with 106’000 kilometres showing. In the same year he had the cylinder head overhauled and in August 2008, for reasons of ill health, he had to de-register the car and had it stored in his garage. Unfortunately, the front right mud guard was slightly damaged when a lawn mower fell on it. Otherwise, the coachwork is in good condition with the paintwork most probably having been renewed years ago. The interior is in carefully maintained original condition and mechanically the car, with 107’000 kilometres driven, functions faultlessly. Four additional aluminium rims will be handed over with the Toyota and the original service booklet is present as well. The last MOT was completed in May 2008.
