Description
Rare version of the famous Fiat 500 made by Steyr Puch, an Austrian company also known for the construction of the Mercedes G-Class and the Fiat Panda 4x4. The version called 650 TR Europa was equipped with a twin-cylinder boxer engine and instrumentation complete with tachometer and oil pressure gauge. This little bomb on wheels proved to be very competitive in racing, so much so that Polish driver Sobiestaw Zasada won the European Rally Championship (Gr.2) in 1966. This example is preserved in original condition with overhauled and well-functioning mechanics. The car has original Portuguese registration plates and documents (this model for commercial agreements with Fiat could not be marketed in Italy). There are also the Certificate of Origin issued by Steyr Puch, the technical data sheet and the Certificate of Historical Relevance issued by the Italian Fiat Register (useful for a possible registration of the car in Italy).
