Description
Porsche 944 2.5 Coupe from 1986
- 17" Cup rims
• The last owner has had it for 17 years
- Weinrot on Burgundy Leather
The 944 is the title of Porsche's range of sports models. It was produced from 1982 to 1991 and is the successor to the narrower and water-cooled 924. It received a wider body and an improved interior.
The biggest difference was the engine. The base engine of the 944 consisted of a 2.5 liter 4-cylinder. The engine block of the 924 was developed by Volkswagen, but that of its successor was a completely solo project by Porsche itself and was therefore seen as a 'real' Porsche. Various versions of the 944 were released over the years. These consisted of:
- 944 (base model)
- 944 Turbo
- 944 S
- 944 S2
- 944 S2 Cabriolet
With more than 163,000 cars produced, the 944 was the most successful sports car in Porsche history at the time.
This is a neat original German delivered Porsche 944 from 1986. It has been owned by the same owner for the last 17 years.
It came in a beautiful 'Weinrot' combined with a 'Burgundy leather' interior. The car sits on 17-inch Cup rims that are in neat condition. It came from the factory with the following options:
- Radio preparation
- Electric roof panel
- Electric windows & mirrors
- Power steering
- Leather seats front and rear
- Air conditioning
The in-line four-cylinder is linked to a 5-speed manual transmission. It runs nicely and shifts smoothly. This is reflected in the beautiful condition of the car and the available documentation. This consists of a manual, together with various invoices and inspections.
There is a whining sound coming from the engine, probably it is the balance shaft belt (tensioner). Driving like this is no problem, but if you want the technical condition of the car to be perfect, replacing it is a good option.
A neat Porsche with a lot of driving pleasure in store.
