Description
Introduced in 1975, the Porsche 930 stood out with its muscular bodywork, wide Fuchs alloy wheels, whale tail spoiler, and a three-liter turbocharged engine. Achieving 0–60 mph in under six seconds, and a 155 mph top speed, the 930 set new performance standards.
One of Just 685 ROW-specification models, this 1977 Porsche 930 was delivered new through Raffay & Co. in Hamburg, Germany. According to Ryan Snodgrass’ definitive Turbo 3.0 book, this is the only 1977 930 finished in special-order Viper Green Metallic that was also complemented by Dark Green leather upholstery. Desirably specified without a sliding sunroof, additional features include a passenger-side mirror, black headliner, and a Blaupunkt Bamberg radio. The 930 moved from Germany to the Netherlands in 1993 and, after several years of use, was taken off the road. A professional restoration began in 2017, including a bare-metal repaint in its original hue and a rebuild of its engine, suspension and braking systems. Recently exported to the US, this 930 has received further attention, including a gearbox rebuild.
Today, the 930 still retains its matching-numbers engine and gearbox and presents in stunning condition. Complete with manual, tool kit, tire compressor, Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, and documentation, this 930 features such a remarkable and unique specification that it is sure to thrill its next fortunate caretaker.
