This 930 Turbo 3.3 was registered new to its first owner, a resident of Nottinghamshire in April 1986 via John Lamb Porsche Centre, Chesterfield. The original specification was black over champagne leather interior and champagne carpets, the same colour combination it's presented in today as per the Certificate of Authenticity. It was ordered new with the following factory options; recoil bumpers, heated and adjustable passenger door mirror, heated front seats, electric sunroof, limited slip differential (40% slip factor), Blaupunkt Toronto stereo, sport seats with electric height adjustment, sekuriflex laminated windscreen, graduated top tinted windscreen and full champagne leather interior.
The car was purchased by its previous owner in 1997 and has a very comprehensive maintenance history with invoices spanning 1991-2025. The original speedo which is still with the car died and was replaced by JAZ Porsche in 1993 at 48,814 miles. In 2016 the engine was rebuilt by marque experts JZM Porsche. In 2023 the suspension and steering were refurbished, and the latest service was at 72,986 miles by Canford Classics which included a brake fluid change.
Upon our acquisition we entrusted it to marque experts Canford Classics for a full exterior and interior recondition. The car was stripped and taken back to bare-metal and was refinished in its original colour L700 black. The interior was stripped with the leather components being re-connolised, the unoriginal speakers in the door cards and rear parcel shelf were replaced with a period correct set, new carpet from Germany was fitted and new rubbers including the front smile, rear spoiler, front lower valance and front bumper protective strip were fitted. Electrics were painstakingly sorted with everything now working. Mechanically Canford Classics checked over the entire car and in March an annual service was completed plus new tyres, new condenser, front and rear discs and pads. It passed its MOT first-time with no advisories.
Complete with its original leather pouch, driver's manual, service book, original speedo, colours and interior option brochure, Porsche Great Britain model range brochure, radio booklet and history file which contains photographs of the engine rebuild and recondition.
