Bring a Trailer NO RESERVE auction in progress: Stunning factory paint-to-sample Signal Green in like-new condition outfitted with $60k in factory options and desirable dealer upgrades.2016 Porsche 911 GT3 RS VIN WP0AF2A90GS192613PTS Signal Green with Black InteriorFor the past seven decades, the Porsche 911 has amazed legions of performance enthusiasts offering ground-breaking technology and superlative design. With each iteration, innovations emerge, all under the graceful cloak of the 911 heritage architecture and legacy body design that so fully captures the spirit and sport of these iconic cars. Perfectly balanced with a range of models to suit tastes and driving conditions, the GT3 was derived to meet the growing needs for performance models evoking the essence of motorsports history. Offered first in 1999 as part of the 996 model range, the GT3 option package was focused on racing with impressive performance figures and purposefully spartan interior trim.In 2015 the all-new version of the GT3 was offered with the distinctive RS (Renn Sport) package. Equipped with carbon fiber louvered front fenders and turbo intake vents on the (also) carbon fiber rear fenders, aluminum doors, and the engine lid also made of lightweight carbon fiber, the classic 911 roof was lightened by using magnesium, a highly durable metal which offered both structural rigidity and weight savings. Carbon fiber bucket seats, and a myriad of further weight savings (no air-conditioning, no stereo, and no front axle lift system) helped to reduce the total vehicle weight to 3,155 lbs. The 4.0 liter 500hp flat-six engine mated to the Porsche Doppelkupplung PDK 7-speed transmission delivered superb performance with 0-60 times of 3.0 seconds and quarter mile launches lapsing in 11.1 seconds. Stopping prowess was equally amazing with 70mph braking to zero covered in an eye-popping 140 ft. Boasting an already impressive array of performance features contained in the RS package, this very special GT3 RS was specially ordered from the factory painted in the rare PTS (Paint To Sample) 911 color first used on the 1966-1971 cars. Special order paint colors are rare as Porsche will only paint their cars using approved, specified colors that meet their stringent requirements for vibrancy and color match when painted on all material surfaces (Carbon fiber, magnesium, aluminum). Additionally, this car was ordered with the following cost-added options totaling nearly $37,000. -Exterior Paint to Sample, Signal Green Non-Metallic-Leather Interior in Black/GT Silver (Alcantara)-Wheels Painted in Silver-Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes-Telephone Module (center console)-Bluetooth Handset -Floor Mats-Porsche Communication Management incl. Sold to the first owner, the car received regular service at the same dealership. In addition to the factory options, the first owner engaged Porsche of Colorado Springs to add an additional $20k in upgrades including clear paint protection film, a GMG roll bar, Schroth 6-point driver and passenger seat belts, and a Techart Carbon Fiber Trim Package. The resultant upgrades coupled with the factory options make this one of the most desirably optioned and beautifully appointed GT3 RS Porsches in existence. Of particular interest in the GT3 RS and GT3 series cars is the normally aspirated power train which offers fantastic exhaust sounds, enhanced by the installation of an approved GMG muffler bypass unit with tips (a 100% emissions legal aftermarket accessory) that adds a fantastic throaty roar to the already potent GT3 RS package. Porsche dealership invoices accompanying the car indicate regular oil and filter services performed at the selling dealership with records of consistent accumulated miles. In April 2018 a 12,000 mile service was performed including new spark plugs, fluids, and filters. The second and current owner purchased the car in 2018. Now indicating 7,237 miles, the last service was performed in 2019 with 6,687 miles. In 2019, while the current owner was driving on the local highway, a concrete truck dropped a stone, creating a chip in the carbon fiber air dam. While the rock damage was strictly cosmetic, rather that repairing the existing part, the front bumper cover was electively replaced (invoice shown in the gallery ($2,666). A photo showing the “before” image is also included in the gallery. Today this Porsche presents in excellent visual condition with smooth original factory applied special order paint. All factory features are exceptionally well detailed showing no flaws or notable marks to the gleaming vivid green paint. The factory body panels are in excellent condition showing tight fit to the aluminum doors, carbon fiber hood, carbon fiber front fenders, and carbon fiber engine lid. The front and rear bumper caps offer crisp factory fit and excellent contours. The boldly elevated rear wing is dramatically positioned atop the rear of the car living up to the RS name and motorsports lineage. Beautifully finished optional silver wheels are in excellent condition with bright yellow six and four piston brake calipers gripping the optional ceramic disc brakes. The center hub wheels are shod with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 performance tires showing only nominal tread wear. As part of the exceptional design of this car, the gracefully flared front and rear fenders, with carbon fiber intake vents, channel air to aid in cooling and downforce stability while the massive rear wing performs rear end stability and offers a visual treat emblazoned with Porsche lettering to match the distinct rocker stripes, all of which delivers a commanding presence to this Renn Sport Porsche. The original black interior is essentially new throughout and features excellent leather and Alcantara finishes, beautifully preserved door panels, and near new carpeting. The carbon fiber seats are covered with leather seating surfaces and Alcantara inserts, which are both supple and beautifully maintained, accented with silver stitching which also matches the dash, and doors. The motorsports motif is further enhanced by the Porsche dealer-added Schroth 6-point seatbelts and GMG rollbar. The dashboard features white instrument faces, carbon fiber inserts, matching white Sport Chrono dial, entertainment system, and aluminum foot pedals. The leather wrapped steering wheel remains in like-new condition. Every aspect of the interior is fresh, crisp, and beautifully maintained, exhibiting all the traits of a documented low mile car that has been dealer serviced under the care of two Porsche enthusiast owners. The engine compartment and trunk retain a stock exterior appearance, though much of the engine itself is concealed in the beautifully draped body panels and engine shrouding beneath the rear wing. The engine compartment is clean and properly detailed, displaying factory features including a protective carbon fiber tray, GT3 engine shroud housing twin cooling fans, and fluid service ports. Underneath, the car features carefully engineered aerodynamic features including various openings and air management systems aiding in brake cooling and cornering control. Here too, just as with the exterior finishes, every detail from the suspension components to the inner panel surfaces, under hood finishes, and chassis details supports the originality and preservation this car has enjoyed since being delivered new. This beautifully preserved GT3 RS is offered with a set of factory owner’s manuals and leather pouch, original window sticker, and records for interval services and dealer installed upgrades. This is a fantastic opportunity to acquire a very highly optioned, low mileage, North American delivery Porsche 911 GT3 RS. Finished in beautiful factory special order green, beautifully preserved and meticulously prepared, this GT3 RS will impress any Porsche enthusiast seeking the pinnacle of the 911 GT3 series as only offered in the distinct motorsports RS package.
