The Porsche 996 was the first water cooled example and ushered in a new era for the 911. The 997 had the opportunity to evolve performance and luxury to create what Porsche deemed the ultimate sports car. The most significant changes were to the interior and exterior styling. The 997 S had larger 19” alloy wheels, revised front lights and the engineering changes included an increase in power. Powered by a 3.8 litre flat-six cylinder engine, producing 350bhp propelled the 997 from 0-60 mph in just 4.8 seconds and onto a top speed of 182 mph.
