Description

Chassis No. TC/6452

Engine No. XPAG7150

This exquisitely restored 1949 MG TC boasts a fascinating provenance. It was lovingly owned for many years by a woman from the Midwest before passing into the hands of a passionate collector in Aspen, Colorado. The car enjoyed a second life in the Rocky Mountains until 1996, when it was sold to a discerning Colorado resident. By then, the MG had been thoroughly restored, with virtually every aspect of the car receiving work. The engine, body, and interior were rebuilt, while the leather seats were refinished.

True to its heritage, the MG TC retains its original banjo-style steering wheel, King of the Road headlamps, and a factory-fitted four-speed transmission. The convertible top has been reupholstered from rich English canvas rather than the more typical vinyl. At the same time, the car sits proudly on its factory-original 16 inch chrome-plated wire wheels. Today, this 1949 MG TC remains a shining example of the marque having covered just 566 miles since its restoration was completed.
