Description
When the MGA arrived in 1955, it must have come as quite a shock to MG aficionados who had become accustomed to the pre-war look of the company's sportscars. It was a complete departure in styling and its beautiful, streamlined body was right up to the minute in terms of appearance. It was powered by a new engine; MG had decided that the old XPAG unit had had its day and so introduced a much more modern B-series engine that had made its debut in the recently announced Magnette saloon.
This example of this British classic sportscar is presented in white with black interior and has a black hood and tonneau which have been replaced recently. This MGA's cylinder head has been converted to run on unleaded fuel about 15 years ago and this work was done by Osselli who are MGA and Aston Martin specialists. The car has fibreglass wings which were on the car when our client purchased it all those years ago. The car has been owned by our client for just over 50 years and was completely rebuilt in 1988. It is an original UK supplied car and comes with a Heritage Certificate, stainless steel exhaust, electric radiator fan, Moto-Lita steering wheel and is used regularly. Consigned by James Good
