Exterior: The Mercedes 300 SEL 6.3 W109 we have for sale received a complete repaint in 2024 on a bare metal body. The car has not been driven since, and it looks stunning in the sunlight. The big bumpers and other chrome details are in good original condition. New rubber seals were fitted around all glass and doors after the paintwork. It rolls on a newly refurbished set of Barock wheels fitted with white-stripe tires.

Interior: Excellent dark blue carpets and door cards. Seats are newly upholstered in the original fabric type. Headliner and dashboard are in good original condition. All instruments are fully functional, although the Blaupunkt radio is only for decoration.

Engine and mechanics: The Mercedes 300 SEL 6.3 is a mechanically advanced car. To ensure a smooth ride, the three valves in the air suspension have been rebuilt recently, along with the air pump. The big 6.3L V8 starts easily and runs smoothly with a healthy exhaust note. The automatic gearbox shifts properly. The radiator underwent a complete rebuild in 2024. The 6.3L M100 V8 engine, taken from the Mercedes 600, produced 250 horsepower, allowing a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) time of just 6.5 seconds. And in 1969, this was faster than many sports cars. Combined with a four-speed automatic gearbox and disc brakes on all four wheels, this is a proper autobahn racer.

History: This Mercedes 300 SEL 6.3 is year model 1969. It was registered the first time in Sweden in October 1976. The car changed hands 9 times and had 3 private owners during those years. It comes with invoices detailing the recent work completed. Production of the W109 6.3 ended in 1972, with just over 6,500 units built. However, the W109 6.3 remains a legend still today.
