Description
This 1974 Maserati Merak is one of 830 examples produced between 1972 and 1975 and is powered by a mid-mounted 3.0-liter V6 mated to a five-speed manual transaxle with a limited-slip differential. The car was acquired by the seller in 2016, and subsequent work from 2017 to 2019 has involved overhauling the four-wheel independent suspension and brake system as well as adjusting the three Weber carburetors and replacing the rear main seal, clutch assembly, fuel pump, and tires. The steel bodywork is finished in white and incorporates pop-up headlamps as well as a louvered horizontal engine cover and rear flying buttresses. The cabin houses 2+2 seating trimmed in black leather along with a Jaeger clock and instrumentation. Further equipment includes air conditioning and power windows in addition to 15″ Campagnolo alloy wheels and Citroën-sourced hydraulically boosted disc brakes. This Merak is now offered with an owner’s manual, partial service records, and a New York State title in the seller’s name that lists the car as a 1975 model.
