Daytona Automobil presents a 2008 Lamborghini Murciélago LP640 Coupe with the gated manual transmission. With only 19,626 km from new and finished in the iconic Grigio Telesto over a black leather interior with red stitching, this is one of the most desirable specifications for the model, enhanced by factory carbon racing seats—the same lightweight design found in the Murciélago SV and the Reventón.
This particular example was delivered new in Monaco to a well-known athlete. In February 2010 with only 7,692 km on the odometer, he traded it in for a brand new Murciélago SV, paying 70,000 EUR on top in the transaction. As part of that process, this LP640 was acquired by a Swedish enthusiast based in Stockholm, who drove it actively adding over 11,000 km before selling the car in May 2011. From there, it went into the hands of a discrete collector in rural Sweden who kept the car in a climate-controlled environment and added just 300 km during his ownership.
We acquired the car directly from that collector and undertook a complete overhaul to ensure the car is in perfect mechanical condition. After standing for many years, all fluids and components were addressed to ensure reliability and performance. When acquired, the car still wore its original 2007-dated tires—measuring 4 mm in the front and 3.5 mm at the rear—which clearly shows how carefully the car had been driven. These tires have been retained for historical preservation purposes.
The paint is entirely original. Upon purchase, the car was wrapped in an old white vinyl. After carefully removing the wrap, the underlying Grigio Telesto paint presented in excellent condition, with no signs of damage or wear. This colour is notably the same as used on Bruce Wayne’s Murciélago LP640 in the 2008 film Batman The Dark Knight, adding to its appeal among collectors.
This LP640 features the highly desirable carbon racing seats, which are rarely seen in coupés and elevate both the visual appeal and the driving experience. These seats, fitted in the SV and Reventón, offer both weight savings and an aggressive driving position. Paired with the gated 6-speed manual, the car delivers a raw, analog driving experience—a final chapter of Lamborghini’s naturally aspirated V12 era.
Included in the sale are all original accessories: manuals, service booklet, toolkit, two keys, and full documentation. The car has also been personally signed by Valentino Balboni, Lamborghini’s legendary test driver, further anchoring its place in the brand’s storied history.
The Murciélago LP640 in manual form has quickly become one of the most desirable modern Lamborghinis, and this example—with its exceptional provenance, original paint, carbon seat specification, and complete documentation—is one of the finest we’ve encountered. It represents the last of the truly analog V12 Lamborghinis and is now poised for the next chapter in a serious collection.
