Daytona Automobil presents this exceptional 2000 Lamborghini Diablo GT, assembly No. 66 of 80, delivered new to Germany and later registered in Monaco as part of a prestigious collection. The Diablo GT represents the most extreme road-going version of the Diablo.
This example is finished in Giallo Flash, a striking multi-layer paint that is believed to be featured on just 20 of the 80 cars produced. The Nero leather interior features the desirable racing seats reinforcing its track-focused nature. Unlike many Diablo GTs, this car remains in exceptional cosmetic and mechanical condition, with no sticky buttons, minimal stone chips, and an engine bay that retains its original grey/black carbon fiber components—an indicator of careful ownership and minimal exposure to excessive heat from harsch driving.
The vehicle underwent its last service at Lamborghini Copenhagen at 22,668 km, and it will be delivered with a new major service and overhaul, ensuring it is in peak condition for its next owner. The car retains all original accessories, including its service booklet, manuals, tool kit, and even seat covers and a car cover.
A rare feature on this car is the factory rear wing-mounted camera system, providing reversing assistance through a display in the center console, which also serves as a GPS navigation screen. This was one of the very few factory options available for the Diablo GT, aside from seat type, upholstery, and exterior color.
With only 80 units produced, the Diablo GT is an incredibly rare and sought-after Lamborghini. Now that these cars have turned 25 years old, they are eligible for import into the U.S., which is driving strong demand and making them a compelling investment.
Lamborghini introduced the Diablo GT in 1998 as the most hardcore variant of the Diablo, featuring aggressive aerodynamic bodywork, an enlarged 6.0-liter V12 producing 575 PS, and a stripped-down interior. Unlike the Diablo VT, the GT was rear-wheel drive only, making it significantly more challenging to drive. Most of the bodywork was replaced with carbon fiber, reducing weight, and the car was fitted with special three-piece OZ wheels. The Diablo GT was never officially sold in the U.S., and was originally only for the EU-market.
