This example of Lamborghini’s Diablo, the marque’s poster car for the 1990s, left the factory bound for Austria, where it has resided ever since. As a pre-VT model featuring the distinctive “cliff” instrument binnacle, the Diablo represents driving in its purest form with no power steering and the 492 PS generated from the venerable V-12 engine sent to the rear wheels.

As per the original Lamborghini warranty card, this 1992 model year example was delivered new via the Vienna-based Italian exotic car specialist Sportwagen Seilder in March 1993, finished in Super Fly Yellow. It was later registered for the road for the first time in 1994. After a protracted stint with a second keeper, who did not register the Diablo, it was acquired in April 2021 by former ATP world number one Thomas Muster, who most notably won the French Open in 1995. A subsequent owner bought the car in October 2021 before it was purchased by the most recent keeper. Under their care, this Lamborghini was treated in October 2023 to maintenance worth €32,035 at TP Automobile Manufaktur of Gänserndorf. This sum covered a service, the fitment of new tyres, and replacement shock absorbers. The following January, the car returned there for body restoration and paintwork at a cost of €48,664.

Accompanied by supporting invoices and a stamped service book, the Diablo shows just 8,803 kilometres at the time of cataloguing.
