The Jaguar XJS is a luxury grand tourer produced by Jaguar from 1975 to 1996, serving as a successor to the legendary E-Type. Designed for high-speed cruising rather than outright sports performance, the XJS featured a distinctive long-hood design, advanced aerodynamics for its time, and a choice of powerful engines, including the iconic V12. Over its 21-year production run, the XJS underwent several updates, including the introduction of a convertible variant and improved engineering.

Exterior: This convertible Jaguar XJS from 1995 is part of the facelifted XJS models. This facelift was introduced in 1991 and included several updates, both cosmetically and mechanically. Most notably, the XJS received new, more aerodynamic bumpers that were now painted in the car's color. In my opinion, this is the best-looking version of the XJS—the new bumpers make the car look more elegant while retaining its classic and classy aesthetic. Other updates that came with the 1991 facelift included tinted rear tail lights.

The exterior of the Jaguar we have here is absolutely exceptional. The car is finished in a striking red metallic, and it is still in its original paint. The paint is in amazing condition with minimal scratches and damage. The chrome trim pieces are also in excellent shape, and there is absolutely zero corrosion on the car. Underneath, the car looks just as nice and is completely free from rust.

Interior: This Jaguar XJS convertible features a cream-colored leather interior. An interior this light in color is not the easiest to maintain, but in this case, someone has truly cared for it. The interior of this car is in great condition, with no damage. It is a wonderful place to spend time, and with its very comfortable seats and powerful V12, this car is truly a grand tourer. The interior is also packed with convenient features such as climate control, electric windows and seats, cruise control, and heated seats. The car also features an electrically operated soft top that functions flawlessly. With the soft top up, the cabin remains quiet and comfortable. The soft top is black and in good condition. There are also two small rear seats if you want to bring children, as well as a large trunk. The only non-original component in the car is the wooden steering wheel, but the car also comes with its original steering wheel.

Engine and Mechanics: Driving this V12 Jaguar XJS is a fantastic experience. The steering is nice and light, yet the car still feels quite agile. The six-liter V12 delivers smooth, refined power, and it is paired with a four-speed automatic transmission, new to the facelifted model, which shifts seamlessly. Mechanically, the car feels excellent and has recently had new front wheel bearings and dampers installed. Sitting behind the wheel, you can truly feel the quality of the car. Under the hood, the car also looks spectacular. There are plenty of intricate details under the large hood, but everything appears as if the car were brand new.

History and Documentation: This car was sold new in Canada and imported to Sweden in 2009. It comes with a clean Carfax report and has covered only 83,000 km to date. The car being imported from Canada should not be mistaken for the slightly frowned-upon U.S. imports. Canada has had automotive regulations very similar to those in Europe, meaning Canadian cars did not require additional side markers, different-colored turn signals, or MPH odometers—factors that can make verifying the true mileage of a U.S.-imported car more difficult.
