The Mark II or Mk II is a four-door sports limousine, released by Jaguar in 1959 as the successor to the Mark I, with a 2.4-ltr, 3.4-ltr and 3.8-ltr engine. Some details of the bodywork were improved and changed. From then on, disc brakes on all four wheels were standard.

Originally this Jaguar was sold in the USA as a 3.8 with automatic transmission. Due to the warm climate, the Jaguar has been very well preserved! The car came to the Netherlands in 2018 and the bodywork was painted in the tasteful ''Gun metallic'' paint / lacquer. In addition, the interior has been upgraded to a grey/blue leather and very comfortable XJ interior with electrically adjustable front seats.
The chassis is hard. The basis of the bodywork is very good and hard.

Technically this Jaguar is in good condition as well. The automatic transmission has been replaced by a well-shifting 4-speed gearbox with popular overdrive.

The MKII is equipped with various options including a wooden steering wheel, power steering, seat belts, overdrive and chrome wire wheels with almost new Dunlop tires.

The matching numbers, 6-cylinder in-line engine with two SU carburettors runs well and has good compression and oil pressure. The cylinder head has been adapted to run on unleaded petrol.

The Jaguar MK2 has naturally sustained signs of wear and age over the years given its age, please see the photos. In addition, the paint / lacquer has some imperfections all over, please see the photos.
The car can be driven, but is not in perfect condition, it needs some technical attention because the car has not been driven much in recent years. The power steering occasionally gets stuck and the seat adjustment on the passenger side gets blocked.
A very good basis to get a well-driving and reliable car with a few days of work.
