On acquisition, an extensive restoration was undertaken and finished to a high standard, with Mr. Alley overseeing the project. With the help of a longtime friend and local craftsman, the vehicle received new paint in striking Washington Blue, nicely accented by cream-colored wire wheels. At this time, the vehicle was also fitted with a new Haartz cloth soft top, and the interior was re-trimmed in charming brown leather.
