Diese Barchetta, zu Deutsch "kleines Boot", ist sofort einsatzbereit. 2002 bestellte Jasuki Ito in Tokyo seine Ferrari Barchetta bei dem japanischen Importeur Cornes Motors. Bis 2013 blieb der Ferrari dort im Service, bevor er 2015 Japan verließ und in Dasing bei München ein neues Zuhause fand. Seitdem ist das schöne Fahrzeug in Sammlerhand. Das Fahrzeug ist im Originalzustand. Sogar ein Ferrari Classiche Zertifikat ist für diese Barchetta ausgestellt worden.
Ab 2001 wurde eine Kleinserie (448 Exemplare) des 550 Barchetta Pininfarina aufgelegt. Statt eines festen Verdecks hatte das Fahrzeug lediglich ein Notverdeck und war somit nicht ganz so alltagstauglich wie das Coupé. Die Karosseriebleche des 550 bestanden aus einem mit Aluminium plattierten Stahlwerkstoff mit dem Namen "Feran". Sie wurden mit dem Stahlrohrrahmen verschweißt. Um das Gewicht des Wagens möglichst niedrig zu halten, wurden Bremssättel und Achsschenkel aus Aluminium sowie Räder aus Magnesium verwendet. Der 114-Liter-Tank besteht ebenfalls aus Aluminium und sitzt über der Hinterachse.

Vehicle history:

This Barchetta, meaning "small boat", is ready for immediate use. In 2002 Jasuki Ito ordered this Ferrari Barchetta from the Japanese importer Cornes Motors in Tokyo. In 2015 the car was sold to Dasing (near Munich), Germany. The vehicle is in its original condition. A Ferrari Classiche certificate for the car is at hand.
From 2001 a small series (448 vehicles) of the 550 Barchetta Pininfarina were built. Instead of a fixed roof, the vehicle only had an emergency roof and was therefore not quite as suitable for everyday use as the coupé. The body panels of the 550 consisted of an aluminum-clad steel material called "Feran". They were welded to the tubular steel frame. To keep the weight of the car as low as possible, brake calipers and steering knuckles made of aluminum and wheels made of magnesium were used. The 114-liter tank is also made of aluminum and sits above the rear axle.
