Brands like Apple, Coca-Cola, Nike, Google are brands recognizable the world over. So is Ferrari and interestingly the iconic Italian luxury sports car manufacturer was named ‘The World’s Strongest Brand’ in the 2019 Brand Finance Global 500 Report.
Founded by Enzo Ferrari in 1939 out of Alfa Romeo’s race division as Auto Avio Costruzioni the company built its first car in 1940.
The Cavallino Rampante or ‘prancing horse’ was the symbol chosen by Ferrari and it is recognized by just about every man, woman and child on the planet!
Introduced in 1985 as an update to the Ferrari 400i, the 412 appeared largely similar to its predecessor at first glance, but included several important cosmetic and mechanical updates.
Leonardo Fioravanti’s design was further refined by Pininfarina to incorporate a higher boot-line which brought about increased luggage space, as well as a deeper front air dam, redesigned sill panels, body-coloured inserts, and a new wheel design.
An automatic transmission was also offered and it is thought that around two-thirds were specified this way.
The Ferrari 412 is often considered the ultimate version of the 400-series four-seat GT cars, and the manual variant is now the most popular.
ABOUT THIS SPECIFIC EXAMPLE
This last year of production example of the Ferrari 412 was delivered with the desirable manual gearbox.
The car is unique, VERY UNIQUE. The Ferrari is newly delivered in Holland in 1989. The service book is signed by Mr. Kroymans (the Dutch Ferrari dealer) himself.
The entire history of the car is known and the car has had only 3 owners since new.
The first owner was based in Rotterdam and got the Ferrari delivered at the 6th of April 1989.
The Ferrari is painted in the elegant colour of Blu Sera and trimmed in Blu Scuro (Dark Blue) leather.
A beautiful color combination for the car.
Since new, the Ferrari has driven only 22.000 km’s.
During it’s life the Ferrari has only been owned by car enthusiasts which is clearly visible on the unique condition of the car.
Believe us or not, the car seems to be delivered yesterday. The condition of the exterior as well as the interior is absolutely as new. Off-course the Ferrari is complete with the owner’s manual with pouch, tool kit, spare parts catalog, and many service receipts.
The aforementioned warranty manual shows a rich service history throughout its life, with the most recent work in July 2020, September 2019 and July 2019.
The last owner acquired the car in the Netherlands in January 2015 when the car was displaying 15.755 Km.
The Ferrari has always been and still is registered in Holland.
CONDITION EXTERIOR
Sometimes a car looks very fresh. A difficult description to explain but a car can look tired if it has a lot of damages and signs of use but a car can also look very fresh. This car certainly looks very fresh.
The car is exterior wise in an absolute amazing condition. The body is so extremely nice without any scratches, dents or signs of use.
Details such as the wheels are all without any damages or signs of use. Even the inside of the wheels are completely clean and actually the wheels look to be brand new.
The paintwork retains a very beautiful deep gloss and as mentioned before the car is without any dents, scratches or signs of use.
The engine bay and underside of the Ferrari are in the same condition as the upperside of the car. Impressively nice.
CONDITION INTERIOR
By entering the car, one is surprised by the enormous space and the comfortable seat position.
The interior is in as new condition throughout.
The luxurious and roomy interior is upholstered in beautiful leather, beautifully stitched and using only the finest hide.
DRIVING EXPERIENCE
The V12 fires into life with the very first turn of the key and produces a very pleasing exhaust note, the car drives very well and has only required routine maintenance during his ownership.
The Ferrari is an extremely nice appearance. The car has beautiful and very impressive looks.
The perfect Ferrari for any enthusiast with a family of four, a 412 is perfect for extended road trips.
The example presented here is an excellent Ferrari in all regards and would surely be enjoyed by its next owner as a high-speed continental grand tourer, as intended.
This Ferrari is a lovely example of the last of these hand-built Ferraris in a timeless color combination, with manual transmission, low use, and a full and complete service record and set of books and tools.
There might be more 412’s for sale but mainly with a much higher amount of Kilometers and certainly not in such a wonderful condition as the car we offer.
