Description
Arriving into the mid 80s, the 400 became some kind of a dinosaur compared to its competition and needed a refresh. The 412 was born. Most notable changes were of course the enlarged engine and ABS, along with a few styling changes as Ferrari did with its entire line-up. What sets the 412 apart from the Testarossa/TR and other Ferraris of the time, apart from the usual obvious facts, are the production numbers. Only 246 LHD examples were built with the manual gearbox, making it a very rare car that collectors are more and more searching for.
This brings us to our very own Ferrari 412 which we are presenting in the original and classic combination of Argento Fer over black leather, just as it was presented in the brochures back in the day. Our car was delivered new in Torino in May of 1986 where it stayed with its first owner until he moved with the car to Monaco in 1996. He kept the car until 2005 when he sold it to the second owner who imported the car to Germany. What particularly strikes any connaisseur of the 412 model is the originality of this example which comes with a classic Data rating of « 1- » . Apart from small paint retouches on front and rear, this 412 has remained in its original and unrestored esthetic factory condition while showing a service record many 412s would dream of. This car retains all original books, the unused toolset, and a history dating back to new. With the car having covered over half of its mileage within the last 15 years, it has benefitted from important recent servicing including a big brake service and refresh, AC, new TRX tires, ignition, fluids and filters and a very rare Tubi Style exhaust prototype that was specially adapted to the car. The interior has of course been perfectly preserved, and presents exceptionally well with flawlessly functioning dials, buttons and electrics.
This Ferrari 412 can be seen and inspected in our facilities on appointment only. Please do not hesitate to get in touch should you have any interest in this car. We will be happy to send you a history file with videos and pictures. You can contact us by email or by phone.
