The “normal” 11 hp differs from the 11 lite in its dimensions, being 20 cm longer and 12 cm wider. The “Roadster” and the “Faux-Cabriolet” were immediately developed on this new basis. The “large” roadsters are today one of the rarest body types on the 11 hp.
The example that we are offering you came off the production line in February 1937, as confirmed by a letter from the Citroën factories dated November 29, 1956. The car had several owners in the Paris region before its current owner acquired it in 1980. He drove it for a few years before starting a restoration in 1992. A two-tone color scheme was chosen. During this work, a 4-speed gearbox was installed, and it remains in place today, contributing greatly to the driving pleasure.
In 2014, extensive work will be carried out on the mechanics to improve its operation.
Today, this car is in good general condition, with the old restoration giving it a certain charm.
