Supplied new by BMW specialist Bates of Maldon to its first owners KCB Services of Romford, the car “changed hands” when the car was registered in the name of Kenneth Browne at the same address as the company.
In February 2004 it was acquired by the current owner in East Anglia from Lind of Chelmsford, another BMW specialist dealer to add to his collection. The mileage on acquisition was 6,003 miles and in the intervening 20 years, the car has covered an additional 8,000 miles only.
Production numbers were 5,703 in total, and only just over 100 were imported into the UK.
