It was in 1989 at the Frankfurt International Motor Show that BMW unveiled its BMW 850i (which would be produced until 1999). It was the work of Klaus Kapitza. Its plunging bonnet, its lines in their own right, the absence of pillars give it a crazy elegance and exceptional dynamics. While its appearance is enough to seduce the public at first glance, what it hides under its long hood will win over even the most reluctant. A 5-liter V12 engine with 300 hp. On the technological front, there was already automatic stability and traction control, speed-sensitive power steering and an electronic damping control system.
Our model was delivered new in 1992. In good general condition, it is presented in its “brilliant red” color with the most beautiful effect, matching the optional CSI rims. Recently, the ignition has been completely overhauled by a specialist, during the same work, the belts have been replaced and the air conditioning recharged.
A true high-end GT, this 850i represents a great opportunity considering the price of its modern equivalent.
